St. Philip's "signature" focus is those that are hungry. This is reflected in the ministries they serve.

Rochester Area Neighborhood House is a private nonprofit community service organization that assists individuals and families in need by providing such items as food, clothing and transportation services. It alerts the community to specific social problems and mobilizes the means for dealing with these issues. It is supported by donations from area churches, organizations, businesses and individuals and is staffed primarily by volunteers. St. Philip's participates in collecting food on a continual basis, participates on the board and collects and distributes for holiday baskets each year.
