Vestry Highlights
During the meeting on September 16, 2008, Treasurer, Larry Ciaramitaro, provided a report on our Parish Finances. Currently, our revenue is running $5,000 under the amount that was budgeted. This is due mainly to diminished building usage fees. Meanwhile, our expenses are approximately $2,500 below what was budgeted. Remember: we are currently running on budget; unfortunately, this means that we are going to realize the $17,000 loss for the year that was projected at the Annual Meeting last January. To keep us on track with our finances, please continue to be up to date on your pledge commitments. Also, if you have any ideas about how we can raise the money to offset this deficit, please contact a Vestry member. The Vestry voted to release the remaining money designated for the MDGs to the Creche project in Axim Ghana. The Vestry authorized to participate in the initial energy audit by Michigan Interfaith Power and Light required before participating the Energy coop program. If we then choose to go green, it could save us some utility expenses. The glass has been ordered to replace the broken glass in the church office inner door, which was broken during the robbery.
The next Vestry meeting will be held in the church parlor on October 21, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. All parishioners are welcome.
